Driving Global Education
Gen Next Education, Inc. was founded in 2010 by Girish Ballolla to bridge global education and to serve as the “last mile connection” between universities across the world and the Indian education ecosystem. Given the inherent challenges that Indian students face in accessing quality education along with the challenges universities face while navigating the complex web of India, Girish wanted to create a platform that would alleviate challenges and make it easier for all constituents to further their goals.
His commitment to provide Indian students with clear, reliable and comprehensive information regarding their overseas education options combined with his keen interest in internationalizing Indian and foreign institutions through mutually beneficial initiatives led to the creation of The International Knowledge Center (IKC) in Bengaluru in 2011.
The IKC was designed to serve as a single-window operation to facilitate global educational opportunities. In 2015, upon request from consortium partner institutions, Gen Next expanded its operations into the Middle East to cater to a similar demand among the Indian diaspora in the region. In January 2019, the IKC was renamed as the Center for Global Education and all global activities were brought under the umbrella of a single brand: Gen Next Education.
Now, nearly 15 years since inception, Gen Next has expanded its operations and services globally and continues to promote global educational opportunities by inspiring students to become future-ready, collaborating with counselors and high schools around the world, and partnering with colleges and universities to expand their global footprint through in-person and virtual events, platforms, and resources.
