Develop programs to help your students become globally competent.
Teach in India
This program offers you a unique opportunity to sharpen your intercultural understanding and enhance your global competence by engaging in a collaborative educational endeavor with a teacher at one of our partner K-12 schools in Bangalore. Experience India’s history, rich traditions and complex culture as you learn about its educational system and contribute to our partner schools’ internationalization efforts and help them increase opportunities for experiential learning, develop students’ critical thinking skills, and prepare engaged global citizens.
Nursing in India
This program is designed as an intense but time limited immersion into the Indian culture and is focused on health beliefs, healthcare, and nursing applications. The experience will be preceded by analysis of cultural principles applicable to nursing and concluded by analysis of actual clinical participation with the Indian culture, nurses and clients.
Women in Leadership
This program provides an opportunity to learn first-hand the global nature of issues faced by women and the varied styles of leadership they engage. Through the contexts of business, politics, education, and culture, students will gain deeper insight into the challenges women face globally and the leadership strategies they employ in order to make progress. Open to undergraduate students in any major, students enroll in one 3 credit course in the Institute of Leadership Studies. The two week program will include visits to multi-national businesses, nonprofit organizations, women-owned start-ups and small businesses, and educational institutions, and meetings with women from the corporate, nonprofit, small business, political, and educational sectors.
Working with the Gen Next team in the U.S. and India has allowed us to create an unparalleled teaching practicum marked by cultural adaptations leading to personal and professional growth. Reciprocal learning and
relationship building have positively impacted both the Mizzou community as well as our Indian partners.

The impact this experience has had on me is hard to put into words. I have grown in ways that are still unknown. I know this trip has impacted me not only as an educator, but also as an individual. This trip is something that I will never forget and will always hold a place in my heart.
