Sraavani Pere was born in India, raised in Kenya and completed her Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri – Columbia, the oldest and one of the top ranked journalism schools in the world. She has worked in Nairobi as a Corporate Communications executive in a software company and served as the Lead Producer at Global Journalist – a multi-platform news outlet in the US. She has also free-lanced for several publications in India, Kenya and the US, including the Washington Post and the Times of India.

Sraavani worked as the EducationUSA adviser at the US Consulate General Hyderabad, for six years before joining Gen Next Education in July 2021, as Manager, College Counseling and Student Success. Sraavani’s diverse educational background and experiences, spread across three continents, helps her effectively advise students looking for an international education. Sraavani is a trained Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi dancer and enjoys traveling to experience new cultures and cuisines.
